They've already suggested this, saying "To some extent, I believe that we developers (and players) must acknowledge that the Christmas items will never be the most frequently used objects in the game, but this doesn't mean that they must be discarded as unimportant." This provides new players with a reason for completing the events during the holidays. When I first started runescape, there was no reason for me to attend the easter celebration. The excellent training locations were taken. I would have attended had I known they could be useful. It will be a huge-scale Barbarian village, as I believe it will be. Villages, people are able to help one another out. Fishermen give cooks money and cooks donate fighters. I'm thinking it will be fairly big. It could include a port for entry and hunter posts. These will be protected from freeze effects (frostbite is a hazard that can damage your body, but special clothing delays the damage until it is fixed). You can find it here.
You could track mammoths and other big game across the continent and then kill them. Fishing enthusiasts could catch special species of species of fish only found in the frigid northern waters. The fur coats of mammoths will eventually be unusable. Crafters will be able to keep goods moving and be extremely important. The fire could be ignited and positioned close to the fire in order to start the timer again until frostbite is not present. The continent would be able to have specific trees with special locations. Penguin patrols are a constant threat. There are also specific ores.
It is likely to be a normal kingdom. If we are fortunate we may get some feudal japan. Minigame based quests. Prior to when NR was released, I thought it would never occur. I was skeptical and I tucked away some ideas in my mind.
PC- Step into a world ravaged by insects. The city would have been destroyed and had pests roaming around all over. After discovering artifacts that offer additional information about the pests, it was possible to locate survivors of the native tribe. The disease infects and alters mechanical and biological materials. We'd have to cheap RuneScape gold battle more types of pests, eventually killing the queen on this planet and sealing the portal to the next one.
