Put more Jagex resources to mini-games. I would start by playing Castle Wars; hosting
tournaments and punishing players that deliberately disrupt games. Look at J1mmys video
about Castle Wars RS esports. (also I would love to see JMods actively working with OSRS Gold
people who are from CWC or players with hundreds of CW games played, to find solutions
to their problems)
Secondly, I'd aim for the return of my favourite RuneScape content, Stealing Creation.
I've spoken about this before but there are so many great suggestions to add including:
Replacing the DA with SC and giving it a desert/sand theme.
Clay Monster (boss) incorporates Slayer into SC.
Clay farming sites within SC (with slayer also being added, I believe this would mean
that every skill is applicable in SC? ).
Have depleted locations respawn or teams fight over the Clay Boss to make sure that
every game runs for 20 minutes so that the game isn't used to get fast-non fighting SC
reward.
Then let's look at the possible rewards:
Clay Crafting costume (2.5 bonus XP).
Sand buckets with concentration (6x of sand).
BA-Esque reward for gamble and the chance to summon a Clay Familiar Pet (tb to the ones
you could summon in the pre-eoc).
(potential) Tools made of clay are tools that have a 25% chance of using 2 resources at
once, eg glass blowing pipes when using molten glass.
(potential) (potentially) - instead of BXP, a % chance at the double resource for
skilling. this could also be followed up with some modifications to drop tables that
reduce or remove drops of the skilling resource from certain bosses.
(potential) clay tools - Bonus XP (yes I know that everyone is against easy scape in
rs3 and bonus XP ), however this was 2008 and it did not in any way it impact the meta
of fastest training methods - it would save ironmen GP/resources when they become
available to purchase since they get double the use of their tools, however without
non-combat SC and quick 11-minute games, rewards can easily be adjusted).
With enough support from Jagex this and the other pieces of content could be an esport
in RuneScape. Each game is 20 minutes long in the which players in teams get to
showcase their skills in either capture the flag game mode, or in the map game mode
which players begin with nothing and race other players to win (SC can be described as
DMM in just 20 minutes).
There are a lot of players with a huge passion for specific mini-games, and have their
own suggestions which could potentially be better than mine, or even more so... having
enough attention/focus from Jagex mini-games might be great for OSRS gp RS.
