Third place went to the Nintendo's Super Mario Galaxy 2, with a rather small of 124,600 units. Its Xbox 360 version of Take-Two's highly-reviewed Mafia II saw a disappointing launch of just 121,600 units, which is good enough to be in fourth spot. Its PlayStation 5 edition of the highly-reviewed 2K mobster simulator from Czech developers landed in seventh position, however NPD only publishes data for its top 5 games every month.Fifth place with 110,400 units, was New Super Mario Bros. for the DS that is a regular guest in the top 10 of NPD's list despite being the age of four. Sixth place was won by another catalogue Nintendo game that featured plumbers who can run in a circle, New Super Mario Bros. for the Wii.

8th place was awarded to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare for the Xbox 360, while the 360 version of cheap Madden 25 coins tackled ninth position. Tenth place was Wii Fit Plus, the upgraded version of Nintendo's popular fitness program.
