Afton Johnson, also known as Ifadoja Bamigbala-Aresa, turned her personal journey of survival into a powerful mission to uplift others. After escaping an abusive marriage in 2015, the New Orleans native found strength and healing through fitness and self-defense. Today, she leads Incendiary Training Services, offering specialized fitness and strength training tailored to marginalized communities and survivors of violence. Her holistic approach combines practical self-defense, strength conditioning, mobility exercises, and emotional resilience. Afton works with everyone—from law enforcement professionals to everyday individuals—empowering them to reclaim control over their safety and wellness. Her programs are trauma-informed, accessible, and focused on restoring confidence. For Afton, fitness isn’t just about physical strength—it’s about building the courage to live fearlessly and thrive beyond trauma.
