RuneScape has been growing significantly from its web-based predecessors in OSRS gold recent times, with Steamforged's board games being the most recent game from Jagex. In an interview, numerous Jagex employees spoke about transitioning Runescape's mobile version into an open-platform version and last September.

Jagex has teamed up with the creator of the popular Old School RuneScape mod RuneLite HD to make the HD version available for all players. Steamforged's board game is set to offer the fans of RuneScape a second possibility to get into this world Gielinor and design their own adventures.

Runescape publisher Jagex's publishing arm has picked up a promising indie game for its Jagex Partners label, making Melvor Idle an indie now. The idler game, which is similar to games such as Clicker Heroes or Idle Champions of the Forgotten Realms, was released on Steam in the year before and wears its inspirations from Jagex's top game Runescape very proudly.

Melvor Idle is a detailed multi-track idle video game that is a bid to reinvent "the fundamental elements that comprise the RuneScape franchise in a manner that can be played at a leisurely pace," says the publisher. It's a fairly feature-rich idle game, one with a variety of different things to make and grow, aswell being a focus on avoiding luxury mechanics that require a restart.

Jagex evidently became aware of the project around the beginning of 2020. A large percentage of their staff members were enthusiastic about it following the first Steam launch in October of the same year. As you'd imagine, the developer is pretty happy to be hooked up with the creators of one of their most loved games. "Being working together with Jagex in direct collaboration on the game project has been a dream that has come true," said Brendan Malcolm who is the sole developer of Melvor Idle Studio Games by Malcs.

Malcolm posted a lengthy interview to the game's Reddit community, stating that he will maintain total creative control moving forward while also reiterating that the game's single purchase model of monetization will not be altered. Jagex was, as Malcolm stated, did not have "no intention" to alter anything regarding Melvor Idle. The agreement for publishing will have Jagex assume the responsibility for marketing, localisation, tech support, and QA of Melvor Idle.

It is possible to try Melvor Idle for free on the official website or purchase it from Steam. I've had it open as I'm writing this story, and am quite skilled at chopping trees. It's an excellent time to be a Old School RuneScape player at the moment with the Shattered Relics league is officially launched! It's a brand new and challenging game mode for players to cheap OSRS GP play, utilizing Ironman rules that restrict players from trading and taking part in PvP.
