This came across as very PR"The group are throwing themselves in this challenge". We all know things have OSRS gold influenced. However, the explanation does not hold up for everything. Jagex should be supplying the essential equipment to employees if this really is a long term thing, to perform their job. Adapting the approach to the decreased capacity sounds like this daily update item is temporary till you are able to work from the office again? Or can it be a permanent thing to handle workload? Honestly, I am fine with that if it did sound a little PR'y since they're throwing themselves to be fair. A staff actively look to react and find opportunity in a situation that impacts production output is very uncommon in my own experience. It would have been simpler from a development perspective to stay the path and only accept the slower delivery cadence - and many teams would pick that option and toss out the COVID excuse.
Speaking as a witness to it, pivoting management is no small task. That all takes time, effort and a great deal of coordination - and then you need to go perform on it. But the expectation is that this is the right way to visit deliver more additive content and prevent huge gaps.
However on the WFH front, your situation is precisely the same for others here in Jagex too, but not for most (particularly those with children or less than ideal work environments). We have internal Wellness polls that people respond to along with Production Estimates that have shown the gradual decrease in productivity - last quote was over 30 percent down. I could say I not functioning and emotionally taxed in my best in these conditions. It's a tough situation for many.
On approach that is permanent or temporary: That is an adaptation to our scenario. We wish to return to those Archaeology sized material strikes in the future. If this strategy is actually popular, that said, I can't imagine we would not take cues from that in our article remote-working plans.
