At the time, Widow took what she calls the "safe path" attending a college in her hometown and studying marketing while she figured out what she wanted to do professionally. That lasted two years before she impulsively dropped out and packed her bags for Los Angeles.

"I moved to LA because I wanted to get into acting and writing, but I never got the opportunity to do any of it, and suddenly I had to be able to afford living in LA," Widow laughed. "I started doing marketing and social media for some startups. They were looking for someone with a little experience and who knew how to use social media. One thing led to another and I started working marketing jobs."

Rocket League is experiencing connection issues this morning with a majority of the games player base unable to connect to the football-racing title.Independent website DownDetector tracks social comments around outages and is currently showing the game as having a huge spike in reports.At roughly 2am GMT Down Detector logged close to 300 reports from fans unable to connect to the game on PS4, Xbox, PC and Nintendo Switch services.For now it looks as though the issue is mainly affecting users in Europe and the West Coast of America with the independent website also showing a small number of reports from pockets of users around the globe.

Down Detector currently shows that 76% of complaints are stemming from online gameplay.Both developers Psyonix and the official Rocket League Twitter account are yet to respond to the growing complaints from users online but we can't imagine a solution or response can be that far behind.As you might imagine though, fans have taken to social media, both for answers and to complain at the lack of service.

There's always a new generation of players willing to carry on the mistakes of their predecessors, and that includes knowing when to go for the ball at kickoff. How is this still confusing? If the only other player on your team is behind you, guarding the goal, maybe you should go for the first touch instead of reversing into your teammate, ramming them back into your goal, then watching helplessly as the ball sails into the right-hand corner.
